Day 1
Our adventure began with a flight from Toronto to Calgary✈️ After arriving at Calgary Airport, we rented a car and drove to Canmore, where we would be staying🚗
During the drive, I was amazed by the vast landscapes stretching out in front of us. Endless fields seemed to go on forever and I was excited just looking out the car window.
In the evening, we drove to Banff and took the gondola up to the top of the mountain 🏔 It was extremely windy and cold at the summit, but the breathtaking view of Banff surrounded by magnificent mountain ranges made it all worthwhile!
It was only the first day, but I already knew this trip was going to be something special ✨
Day 2
Unfortunately, it was raining on our second day☔ However, we didn't let the weather stop us from exploring the Canadian Rockies. We visited four beautiful lakes: ① Moraine Lake, ②Lake Louise, ③Peyto Lake, and ④Bow Lake.
Out of the four, Moraine Lake and Peyto Lake left the biggest impression on me.
Moraine Lake was especially beautiful in the misty weather. Fog surrounded the mountains, and snowflakes gently fell around the lake, creating a magical atmosphere❄️
Peyto Lake was an incredibly vivid shade of blue, and the surrounding mountains were reflected perfectly in the water. The contrast between the blue lake and the mountains was breathtaking, and I couldn't stop taking pictures!
In the evening, we went to a restaurant called The Bison and tried bison meat🥩 It was incredibly tender and delicious! Back at our Airbnb, we spent the rest of the night playing games together and laughing out loud. It was a lively end to a rainy day :)
Day 3
Unlike the previous day, the third day greeted us with beautiful clear skies 🌤️
We started the morning by canoeing on Vermilion Lakes! The blue sky, the mountains stretching out in front of us, and the sunlight sparkling on the water created an incredible view. Paddling across the lake while feeling the cool breeze on my face was so refreshing :)
After canoeing, we went hiking. Along the way, we spotted several wild animals, which made the experience even more exciting. The highlight was seeing a huge elk with impressive antlers up close!🦌 Seeing such a magnificent wild animal in its natural habitat was an experience I will never forget.
In the evening, we went to the hot springs. After a long day of outdoor activities, soaking in the warm water while looking up at a sky full of stars was incredibly relaxing. It was the perfect ending to one of the best days of the trip!
Day 4
On our last day, we visited Two Jack Lake and Lake Minnewanka. The clear blue sky, sparkling water, and golden autumn leaves created a beautiful contrast with the surrounding mountains. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and I wished we could stay longer...
Sadly, it was time to drive back to Calgary Airport :( I was reluctant to leave, but I felt so lucky to have experienced such incredible landscapes!
A Trip I Will Never Forget
Over four days, we visited seven beautiful lakes, enjoyed breathtaking mountain views, went canoeing and hiking, spotted incredible wildlife, and relaxed in a hot spring under a sky full of stars.
But what made this trip truly special was sharing these experiences with six friends I met in Canada. From the stunning scenery to the unforgettable moments we shared, every part of this trip made me feel incredibly lucky :)
Without a doubt, this was the best trip of my life so far! I will always treasure the memories we made in Banff ✨
Thank you for reading! Hope you enjoyed my Banff trip :)
